After being released by Detroit in 2015, pitcher Joba Chamberlain became a member of the Kansas City Royals, where he would pitch just 5.2 innings in 6 games as a September callup. He was designated for assignment in October as part of a numbers game so that Adalberto Mondesi could be added to the Royals' World Series roster.
