Cleveland was, of course, a nightmare city for pitcher Joba Chamberlain, as it was in that city that, during the 2007 ALDS, Joba Chamberlain was brought into his first postseason appearance. A highly-regarded prospect in the Yankees organization, Chamberlain was an absolute beast in 24 innings in 2007, pitching to an ERA of 0.38 for the Yankees. In the eighth inning of that game, however, Joba was swarmed by midges - tiny insects that clearly distracted him, and Cleveland scored the typing run against him in the eighth inning, forcing the game into extra innings where they would win, 2-1.

Ironically, Chamberlain's first season gave him nightmares in Cleveland, but his last season saw him sign with Cleveland as a free agent, where he pitched 20 innings, posting a 2.25 ERA, put on the DL with a rib cage injury in may, ultimately receiving his release in June. Presented here is a Cleveland Indians equipment bag used by Chamberlain, in outstanding condition. Unmarked, the bag was consigned with a number of other items related to Chamberlain, who sold much of his equipment and memorabilia into the hobby some years ago.
