Considered by many collectors to be the cutoff year for "vintage" baseball cards, the 1973 Topps set was the last Topps set to be issued in series, with a "high numbers" series more scarce than the others. Known for its interesting and sometimes odd action photography, the set is marked by a somewhat plain design, clearly focusing on the player images as the dominant graphic.
