The first example of this postcard we have ever seen, featuring a team photo of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute baseball team from 1909. Based just up the road from LOTG's headquarters in Troy, New York, RPI is the oldest technological university in the Western Hemisphere. Hailing from Troy, Johnny Evers was the team's coach in 1908 and 1909, while still in the prime of his baseball career.  The school still issues the Johnny Evers Award to the baseball team's top defensive players each year. The postcard is clearly in POOR condition, heavily worn and creased with multiple pinholes and a repaired tear. Still, a rare postcard, featuring Evers as a college coach.
