Ticket stub from Game 2 of the 1991 NBA Finals between the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. Occasionally, pro sports produces an electrifying event that transcends that game and finds its way into the lore of the sport. The Immaculate Reception. The Buckner ground ball. The Called Shot. In this game, we have "The Move."
The game wasn't even close. Chicago led the Lakers, 95-71, late in the fourth quarter, as Jordan passed the ball off to Bulls forward Cliff Levingston on the wing. Levingston drove to the paint, and as the Lakers defense converged, he dished the ball back to Jordan at the top of the key. Jordan drove, left his feet, and as he hung in the air, switched the ball from his right hand to his left for a spectacular, mind-blowing layup.
ESPN produced an outstanding segment on this shot, one of the most electrifying shots in recent memory.
