In 1949, the California-based Hage's Dairy began a three-year run of producing baseball cards featuring PCL players, that were distributed inside popcorn boxes at the concession stands at Lane Field Park, then home of the San Diego Padres.  The cards were printed on thin stock, the checklist occasionally including multiple poses of its players. Due to the regional nature of their distribution, the set was weighted heavily towards San Diego players. The cards issued in 1949 could be found with multiple different color tints: black and white, blue, green and sepia, and are found with advertising or blank backs. The three issues are similar in appearance; the 1949 cards can be identified by the fact that the team names appear in large type. The cards are extremely scarce today.

Graded AUTHENTIC by SGC due to an irregular trim, a well-worn black and white card of John Jensen exhibits considerable surface and corner wear, along with some light staining at the bottom right.  Still, any card from this set is tough to find, it may be years before another example of this card comes to light.
