A gorgeous card, consigned from the collection of its original owner, extremely well-centered and clean. The designation of "AUTHENTIC - ALTERED" assessed by SGC is the result of a light erasure which can be found at the top left border, near the word "outfield." Of course the consignor has no recall of what might have caused him to erase this area of the card, but our childhood cards tell all kinds of stories, and this one is lost to history.  Still, the Kaline rookie is one of the keys to the issue, and well-centered midgrade cards can get pricey - this is a more affordable example, with similar eye appeal.
