Gorgeous high-grade card of Jim Brown, one of the strangest football cards one will see, one of ten Cleveland players posed in front of a pink Cadillac car. Cleveland conducted its in-season practices at the old League Park field, which had become a public park in 1951. The Browns chose to conduct their practices here because the team clubhouses still existed underneath the stands that had not been knocked down, and those clubhouses included locker stalls and showers, making it appealing to the team. For the photographer who took the posed shots, the space behind the old home plate of League Park was as good a place to set up as any, and the camera faced the parking lot. The pink Cadillac has been confirmed to have belonged to - you guessed it - Jim Brown, the subject of this card.
