Rare and desirable box cover and interior game board for the Christy Mathewson "Big Six" indoor baseball table game, issued by Piroxloid Products in 1922. Both the cover and board have experienced significant staining and damage. Regardless, this is one of the most desirable of all the early baseball games, with a large-format image of Mathewson set against bold, colorful graphics. Box and game board both measure approximately 16 1/2" x 23" and are, of course significantly worn. Obviously, all the game pieces have been lost to time.  Regardless of the obvious condition issues, the outstanding graphics make this a widely-coveted and graphically appealing Mathewson-related piece.
