At the end of his major league career Leech Maskey moved to Milwaukee of the Northwestern League and then to the Des Moines Prohibitionists of the Western Association where he hit .274 in 457 at bats. After a trip to Ireland Maskey played a few more seasons of minor league ball and Maskey was out of baseball altogether as a player but not before the Pennsylvania native put together a team to play in the Iron and Coal League where he managed until 1904.
