Charles Frederick "Silver King" Koenig got his royal nickname because of his prematurely gray hair and the English translation of his German surname. A 200-game winner as a pitcher, 45 of those wins came in 1888, a year in which he also won one of his two career ERA titles. King has two poses in
the N172 set.
Centering is east on the canvas, with rounded corners and soft edges keeping the card from grading even higher than it already has. A couple of creases run horizontally across different points of the card, more visible on the back than the front. King's pose draws your attention, perfectly balancing the composition of the card. Lots of eye appeal on this one.
