1955 was a special season for the Brooklyn Dodgers as they won the World Series crown, beating their crosstown rivals, the New York Yankees, in the fall classic. That 1955 season also produced this outstanding dual image Topps card of color barrier pioneer Jackie Robinson, presented here in a CGC 4. This is an example of the "full diamond" variation, the red diamond in the upper left corner of the card. The radiant portrait of Jackie is paired with a batting swing image of the Dodgers star.
