Pioneering Hall of Famer Roger Bresnahan purchased the Toledo Mud Hens in 1916 and moved them from Cleveland back to Toledo, his hometown. He managed and played for the Mud Hens from 1916-18, remaining team president until 1925 and hiring many of his former major league teammates along the way. Bresnahan's faux endorsement appears in the lower right corner of this old style, horizontal ticket, likely dating to 1920 or earlier, as this type was generally replaced by vertical tickets following the Deadball Era. Ticket presents well with visible creasing in the lower left corner and some staining with a spot of paper loss on reverse to the lower-right.
