Handsome newspaper supplement offered by the Detroit Journal, featuring a team photo of the 1892 New York Giants.  Very similar to a tinted supplement offered by the New York Recorder, this features a familiar pose of the team in front of a full grandstand, players including Hall of Famers Buck Ewing, Jim O'Rourke, Amos Rosie and Mickey Welch, along with Jack Boyle, Piano Legs Gore, Denny Lyons, Shorty Fuller and more.  The piece measures approximately 10 3/4" x 9 1/16".  Detroit Journal Souvenir is printed at the lower left, the piece numbered 18862 at the bottom right.  Some light wrinkling and staining on the reverse reduces the technical grade as do a few edge tears including one measuring nearly 1" in length from the right border encroaching on the image area slightly. Despite the wear, an exceptional 19th Century photographic piece featuring four Hall of Famers.
