Bert Cunningham pitched in 120 games for the Baltimore Orioles of the American Association between 1888 and 1891. He went 49-62, completing 100 of the 109 games he started. Cunningham has five different poses in
the N172 set. This example - which depicts the Baltimore pitcher with a ball in his hands which he holds chest high getting ready to pitch - is the only one graded by PSA.
The
centering is slightly north and west, but the gradient background fades to nothing toward the top of the card anyway so it's hard to notice the north/south centering being slightly off. The printing is bold, showing great contrast between the dark colors of Cunningham's uniform and the studio's backdrop. Slightly soft corners and some light edge chipping along the bottom keep this card from grading even higher than it already has, though for the issue, VG-EX has to be considered high grade. A very strong card.
