4% VG-EX, 24% VG, 35% GOOD, 45% FAIR, 6% POOR. Along with their baseball cards, 1955 marked the final year of Bowman's production of football cards. The cards themselves, however, ran rings around their baseball counterparts from a design standpoint, each player's sharp image silhouetted with a bright halo, set against a colorful background. The photos were comprised of a combination of portrait and posed "action" images, creating an attractive card and an excellent variety of poses and colors. Presented here is a collector-grade set, well-handled, with wear throughout. Regardless of the wear, the colorful cards remain quite appealing. A condition breakdown of the key cards is as follows: #1 Walker (GOOD), #7 Gifford (GOOD), #25 Matson (VG), #32 Van Brocklin (FAIR), #37 Groza (GOOD), #42 Johnson (POOR), #44 Perry (VG), #52 Summerall (POOR), #62 Blanda (GOOD), #70 Ringo (POOR), #71 Layne (POOR), #72 Tittle (GOOD), #101 St. Clair (GOOD), #119 Goatskin (GOOD), #152 Landry (FAIR). 160 cards total.
