Grouping of four cigarette wrappers, including the following: 1) Irby's Virginia Extra (2): Pair of wrappers measuring 4 1/4" x 9", apparently unused despite visible wear. Clean and colorful , both do exhibit some small punctures and tears, not impacting the display value to any great degree. The Irby brand is relevant to collectors due to its association with the Pinkerton tobacco company, manufacturer of the T5 Pinkerton cabinets (see the unopened Arby box elsewhere in this auction). 2) Kotton Cigarettes Extra Mild: Approximately 5 1/8" x 2 3/4" wrapper once housing a pack of Kotton Cigarettes, carefully unfolded and flattened. Remnants of the tax stamp remain, though the date cannot be determined, though the manufacturer's notice indicates between 1879 and 1954 (which helps us narrow it down). GOOD condition, likely trimmed slightly for cosmetic reasons on the left and right edge, a bit of paper loss on the left and some writing on the reverse that identifies the brand. Relevant to collectors due to the T216 People's Tobacco issue. 3) Escobal's Virginia Extra: 6 1/4" x 3 3/8" wrapper, carefully unfolded and flattened. Some paper loss and heavy creasing is evident. Four wrappers total.
