The 1915 E106 set is essentially a reissue of poses found in the earlier
E 90-2 and E 92 sets., with several team changes made. While not as popular as some of the earlier caramel issues, E106 cards
are difficult to obtain. They came out an an opportune
time and are noteworthy for
referencing the upstart Federal League.
This example features beautiful centering with a gorgeously bright and bold red background. With edges consistent with the grade, some light corner wear in each of the two right corners keeps this one from grading even higher. Lots of eye appeal with this unique pose.
PSA
has only ever graded 11 total examples of this E106, with only TWO
receiving a higher grade than the VG 3 offered here of Chicago's Ray Demmitt.
