This extremely scarce issue was the first of two baseball card sets produced by Los Angeles confectioner
Bishop & Co. and featured five players from each of the six teams in the Pacific Coast League in 1910.
This example shows San Francisco's Ping Bodie smiling brightly in front of a beautiful light blue background. Centering is slightly south on the canvas. What looks like a printing error - leaving a white space between the bottom of Bodie's image and the top of the black line border for the portrait - is consistent with the other Bodies in the set, even ones with different color backgrounds, and is just a quirk of this card's design. Corners are soft and rounded, with edges consistent to the grade. The reverse is a checklist of the 30 total cards of the set, and only displays some light foxing.
SGC has only ever graded 10 total examples of this E99, with only ONE receiving a higher grade than the VG 3 offered here of San Francisco's Ping Bodie.
