The 1948/49 Leaf issues in baseball, football and boxing are rife with printing variations and errors due to inferior production techniques and poor quality control.  While common issues like poor print registration are common, more egregious ones like front/back errors, color variations, and complete breakdowns in the printing process like this one are highly prized by collectors from all three sports. Presented here is the Rookie Card of George Connor from the 1948 Leaf set. The Hall of Famer played at Notre Dame and for the Chicago Bears. While SGC has graded this example as GOOD 2, what makes it special is the ghost print on the card of Johnny Lujack, applied upside-down on the card. A unique find from a legendary set.
