Presented here is a 1971 Topps Baseball 3rd Series Wax Pack, encased by a PSA EX-MT 6 holder. Each 1971 Topps wax packs included an "insert," part of Topps' ingenious marketing tactic of including a variety of subsets and inserts in their packs as an extra incentive for collections. In this case, the insert was one of the 1971 Topps Coins, a 153-subject subset that included many of the game's greats. This pack has been graded EX-MT 67 by PSA; it appears that the seal is tight but a tiny hole can be observed in the yellow area near the bottom of the pack, ostensibly a small puncture made by the coin.
Unopened material is becoming more scarce and valuable by the day as
collectors continue to seek out more and more tough-to-find material
(and others seek out unopened packs to open looking for buried
treasure).
