John Sage was a lithographer and seller of musical instruments based in Buffalo, who in the late 19th Century also became a producer of maps, running his business with his sons. Sage's company produced beautiful, colorful baseball broadside posters (see Image C for an example) featuring outstanding period imagery, which are highly desirable today. Presented here is a mailing envelope dated 1887 from the company, advertising Sage's company in the return address. G-VG condition.
