Walter Payton checked all the boxes as a football icon, with individual and team accomplishments in the sports-crazed city of Chicago making him an unforgettable personality. The Jackson State product has a long list of honors, including NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion, among all of his rushing records.  Sadly, Payton passed away at the young age of 46 in 1999 and interest in his memorabilia continues to be high. Presented here is a single-signed Wilson football, with Payton's flowing penmanship and jersey #34 artfully gracing one of the panels in silver marker.
