Attractive ticket stub dating to September 21, 2008, the final game at Yankee Stadium.  Though the park had undergone renovations over the years, many fans still considered the stadium "original," and was certainly the site filled with mystique and baseball legends dating back to its original construction in 1923.  In the wake of Aaron Boone's dramatic walk-off home run to end the 2003 American League championship, future Hall of Famer Derek Jeter said "I told Aaron the ghosts would show up eventually," referring to the legends that had inhabited the Stadium over the decades.

The day opened with a recording of longtime Yankee Stadium PA announcer Bob Sheppard, followed by a video featuring Yankee greats and legendary postseason plays, followed by an introduction of many Yankee greats in attendance, including Mariano Rivera, Rich Gossage, Moose Skowron, Whitey Ford, and of course, Yogi Berra.  Julia Ruth Stevens threw out the first pitch, and the Yankees went on to defeat the Baltimore Orioles, 7-3.  Following the game, Derek Jeter addressed the capacity crowd, advising them "we are relying on you to take the memories from this Stadium and add them to the new memories to come at the new Yankee Stadium, and continue to pass them on from generation to generation," before the Yankees took one final victory lap while Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York" blared over the speakers.

The ticket presents well, clean and colorful with some minor creasing that does not disrupt the quality of the image or the integrity of the ticket.  A tremendous piece of Yankees memorabilia, a stub from the final game played at the original Yankee Stadium.
