Though the size of this attractive piece (3" x 5") may make the term "pocket calendar" a slight misnomer, this is a very appealing item nonetheless. Featuring twelve printed paper monthly calendars (the papers measuring 2 3/8"x 1 5/8") attached at the top, the backing stapled into an aluminum plate, onto which the Standard Biscuit, Paradise Sodas brand, and an illustration of the Standard Biscuit building is printed. Manufactured by the Wilson-Hurd Company of Wausas, WI, a company that manufactured advertising specialties and promotional items around the turn of the century that is still in operation today. Though a little bit of tiny tearing is evident on the calendar, and some minor bending of the aluminum can be observed, the piece remains in outstanding condition, an excellent piece tangentially related to the Standard Biscuit baseball card issues.
