Daniel Shannon played 19 games for the Philadelphia Athletics of the Players League in 1890. But he was in the right place at the right time, and ended up with three different poses in
the N172 set. This issue - which features the Philadelphia Shortstop standing at the plate with a bat at the ready - is ultra rare, as all the Players League subjects are. This example was found tacked to the house beams inside a wall in an old house in New England. It has flaws, for sure, but its unbelievable rarity makes it an incredibly desirable card regardless.
