Premiums in the R314 set were photo reproductions that measured 3.25" x 5.25" and were issued on thin paper stock with a faux "signature" of the player towards the bottom. In comparison, this original news service photo, issued by Acme in 1935, measures 5" x 7" and boasts startling image clarity, having survived in excellent condition with just some light wear to the top corners. Original paper caption remains affixed to verso though a portion on the left edge has chipped away. Two large Acme Newspictures have been applied to verso, identifying them as the issuing service.
