Extremely significant lower reserve stub from Game 5 of the 1948 World Series between the Indians and Boston Braves, played at Cleveland Municipal Stadium on October 10. This game marked the first time a Black pitcher would take the mound in World Series history, as Satchel Paige pitched to two batters in the top of the 7th, retiring Warren Spahn on a run-scoring sacrifice fly and Tommy Holmes on a groundout to short. Attendance was a massive 86,288 fans, who saw the Red Sox win the game, 7-5. Though the ticket presents extremely well, it remains in GOOD condition due to surface wear and corner and edge softness, along with some slight paper loss at the perforation from an irregular tear. Still, a very significant World Series stub.
