Attractive .5" diameter pinback featuring a classic Cleveland Indians headdress logo and the words "Stick to the Finish Club" printed along the bottom. A two-piece charm is attached to the pinback, consisting of a baseball inside of a ball cap. Research indicates that the "Stick to the Finish Club" was an actual club organized by fans in 1920 to help rooters show support for their team even when the Indians weren't playing at their best. Apparently the club issued multiple pins, including the offered example, which has survived in fantastic overall condition. Charms and the attached chain exhibit a satisfying patina, and bright red original coloring of the pinback shows just a touch of oxidation on reverse. A wonderful memento from one of the Cleveland Indian's most historic seasons.
Fore reference purposes we've attached an article to this listing with details on the club; published in the Cleveland Plain Dealer on June 23, 1920.
