Oddball rookie card of Hall of Fame pitcher Greg Maddux, who looks like a little leaguer on this 1987 card. Maddux' first two seasons with Chicago were forgettable, with him pitching to an ERA above 5.5 both seasons. Four consecutive Cy Youngs in the 1990s made him one of the greatest pitchers of his generation, and in an era of specialized relievers when starting pitchers rarely win 20 games, Maddux won 18 or better nine times. Graded MINT 9 by PSA, perhaps a 10 on a different day.
