Another interesting children-themed baseball artifact this is a cloth handkerchief or bandanna likely dating to the early 20th century featuring a scene of children playing baseball (with a few spectators watching). With a border of crossed bats and baseballs the piece exhibits many stains and significant discoloration and the left fielder has been encircled and the initials "H.G." written underneath him in some sort of permanent ink.A very interesting and rare piece illustrating our early fascination with the national pastime.
