E103s were printed on extremely
light paper, so finding any graded above the VG level is terribly
difficult. This Napoleon Lajoie offering has remained in very good
condition, with strong edges and soft corners which present nicer than the grade. Staining along the right edge contributes to the grade. Centering is west on the canvas. A few pixels of color loss primarily reside in the image's red background, which is common for the set but helps explain the card's technical grade, along with the aforementioned caramel staining along the right border. While the blank back exhibits some very faint foxing, this example
has fantastic eye appeal for such a tough set.
