The 1968 Topps issue is growing in popularity among collectors due largely to its excellent selection of players but also due partially to the difficulty in finding well-centered examples without damage to the "burlap" borders. For many collectors a problem with the set becomes that finding such cards nearly always raises the price tag to the stratosphere as high-grade examples command significant dollars. Presented is one of the issue's key cards that of Yankees hero Mickey Mantle. Graded EX 60 by SGC the card is very well centered with four square corners and very little wear. The card's primary condition flaw is that it simply has been handled there are no "fatal" flaws on the card that reduce the grade. The result is a mid grade card with superior aesthetic appeal.
