Joe Bowman on a card produced by Warren Bowman: namely 1939 Play Ball.  One of the odd pitcher-pinch hitter players that were in vogue in the Thirties, Bowman was a swingman righty who batted left, a useful combination. He's signed this PSA 4 VG-EX card in blue ballpoint, in a precise hand with some minor flourishes.  PSA/DNA has assessed the autograph as NM-MT 8 in grade.  The card originates from the Shibe Park collection of autographed cards, an original owner collection carefully collected by a teenage boy who, in 1939 and 1940, obtained many autographs from players arriving at the train station near Shibe Park, and continued for many years to obtain signatures in person and through the mail.
