Exceptionally bright card of Dick Rudolph portraying him with the Eastern League's Toronto Maple Leafs. Rudolph's final season in the minors would be 1913 after which he moved to the Boston Braves full-time where he would spend the remainder of his career pitching until 1923 (and coming back to pitch 1.1 innings in 1927). Rudolph won 67 games between 1914 and 1916 his ERA never rising above 2.37 during that stretch. He was an outstanding pitcher. This (along with four others) is the highest graded Piedmont example known. Population Data SGC Population: 116 total graded 1 at this level 0 higher PSA Population: 110 total graded 4 at this level 0 higher* *Please note that PSA just recently began to differentiate between T206 back variations in their population reports so it is entirely possible that other examples of this card may have been graded by PSA and classified in their pop reports as "unknown back."
