Distinctive collection of 48 photographs emanating directly from the estate of former minor and major league catcher, minor league manager, and scout Mr. Bill Skiff. Vast majority of the photos in this collection feature Skiff in some capacity and span over 30 years of his career in professional baseball during the 1920's-50's with heavy emphasis on the 1944-46 Seattle Rainers of the Pacific Coast League. Please note that although the photos all appear to be original and from the era in which they were shot, many have been affixed to foam core board. Worthy of note are two photos (one shown in this listing) of what appear to be the 1923-24 Kansas City Blues in street clothes with Skiff and fellow major leaguers Ray Caldwell, Lena Blackburne, and others. 48 photos total.
