It was the dream of many young boys growing up across the country that they would one Play Ball with the Yankees, which just happens to be the name of this hardcover book from 1954. Inside it is filled with instructional information, photos and diagrams of the storied history of the Yankees, a team that until that point had won 16 World Series titles and 20 American League pennants. It even includes a rare photo of Yankees center fielder Mickey Mantle being flanked by his twin brothers, Ray and Roy, inside the Yankee clubhouse, all with aspirations of one day playing alongside one another for the Bronx Bombers. Though the cover shows some wear on the spine, the inside pages are all intact and well preserved. Measures approx. 5.5" wide by 7.5" high.
