Though he detested his nickname, "King Kong Keller" has remained a well-known Yankee legend, a feared slugger in his time.  He batted .306 in his four World Series appearances and was an on-base machine, with a .410 lifetime OBP.  After his retirement from the game, he enjoyed a successful career breeding racehorses.  His boldly-applied signature here has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA.  The card originates from the Shibe Park collection of autographed cards, an original owner collection carefully collected by a teenage boy who, in 1939 and 1940, obtained many autographs from players arriving at the train station near Shibe Park, and continued for many years to obtain signatures in person and through the mail.
