The 1968 Topps 3-D Baseball set still exerts an almost magnetic pull on collectors. Tested in Brooklyn then seemingly abandoned due to production difficulties, examples have trickled in to the hobby over the years but there never seems to be enough supply to meet demand. Jim Lonborg was one of the twelve players selected by Topps for the set, no doubt following his AL Cy Young Campaign of 1967. If you group the 3-D's into three tiers of overall difficulty, with the first being the toughest, Lonborg is right on the cusp between tier 1 and 2. This PSA 9 example is a fine looking card, just a superb specimen overall.
