Ernie Banks was still a Shortstop in 1958 and was enroute to the first of his two MVP seasons thanks to an extremely potent bat that won over the award voters, despite the Cubs anemic Second Division finishes in both seasons. He handily beat out Willie Mays for the honor in 1958 and his Topps card from that year shows a youthful Banks, here graded as a PSA 5. His signature, slashing in black, is PSA/DNA 9 in grade and looks fantastic.
