Extremely rare envelope used by Goodwin & Co to reply to redemption offers for N173 cabinets.  Measuring 7 5/8" x 5 1/8", the envelope is labeled "Photographs," and includes the Goodwin & Co. return address, all printed in red ink.  A red string and button envelope seal appears on the reverse for security.  The envelope was postally used, addressed to Mr. E. Tighe of St. Louis.  Perhaps it once included an N173 cabinet of Jake Beckley of the St. Louis White, ultra rare today!

The envelope is one of just two of its kind that we are aware of, both pictured in The Photographic Baseball Cads of Goodwin & Co.  Obviously they were not intended to be saved or collected, hence their rarity today.  In strong condition considering its use and age, completely intact with its original string.
