Mickey Mantle appeared on a number of Sports Illustrated covers during his career and his sun-freckled face stares out intently from this one, dated June 18, 1956 and smack dab in the middle of his greatest season. The cover has some wear as seen in the vertical bands rolling across it and a crease at the upper left.  The Mick's signature has been laid down in a bold blue Sharpie and looks great.  James Spence Authentication LOA included.
