Sharing parts of its checklist with the E121 and E126 caramel sets and the D350-2 Bakery set, the 1917 Collins-McCarthy issue is comprised of 200 major leaguers, as the parent company of Zeenuts branched out. Designated in the ACC as E135, the set is a tough one. Case in point, this PSA 3 of George Sisler, the Hall of Fame first baseman, one of a mere four in their pop report, has only two higher examples in grade (a 4 and a 5). Handled back in the day but not abused, the obverse is pleasing, with minor product staining in one or two spots. The reverse is in similar shape and quite appealing.
