Original photograph of the Boston Red Sox during what appears to be spring training in Redondo Beach, CA. Each depicted member of the team has donned their cold weather gear with several variations of classic deadball era sweaters represented in the image. Smoky Joe Wood is easily identifiable as the player with an unbuttoned sweater with several teammates established via handwritten notations at the top. Those players include: Red Kleinow, Marty McHale, and Wally Moser, with one name remaining illegible. Remnants of black paper remain affixed to verso consistent with removal from a scrapbook page and "1911" has been handwritten in pencil towards the lower-left corner. The approx. 4.5" x 6" example has been authenticated and encapsulated as a Type 1 photo by PSA/DNA.
