Original portrait photograph of a youthful Tris Speaker as captured by photographer Charles Martin Conlon, sometime between 1912-15. A faint outline where masking has been removed is apparent around Speakers head but does not distract from the overall quality of the image. Numerous handwritten pencil notations are present on verso, with Conlon's signature running vertically along the left edge. Three distinct Brown Brothers credit stamps are sprinkled among the handwriting, identifying them as the issuing service. A fresh-to-the-hobby example as of Feb. 2021 after being discovered within what remains of the Brown Brothers photo archives. Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type 1 photo by PSA/DNA.
