Otto Graham's legacy as one of the all-time great quarterbacks was well-established by the time he was included in the 1951 Bowman set, his second appearance in an issue from the Philadelphia based gum manufacturer. The set is known for its fine draftsmanship and composition, factors clearly on display with this superb SGC 4 of the Browns back. The light blue sky in the background fades down to a darkening horizon and the start of a brilliant sunset behind the signal caller, who has a look of fierce determination despite the scene depicting a training camp exercise. The image is well-positioned amidst the four borders, while a small crease is seen in the upper right border area. Three corners have light touches, while the fourth's, at bottom right, is just a tad harsher. The color is extremely nice and the image is a strong one. The reverse shares the envious centering seen on the front and is quite clean, with no trace of wax visible.
