"Major League Secrets" were the calling card of the 50 subject Schutter-Johnson set from 1935, known also as R332. The mid-Depression set features somewhat crude line drawings of its subjects demonstrating the fundamentals of baseball. Here Charlie Grimm demonstrates the art of the first baseman feeding the throw to a covering pitcher on a grounder to the left side. The card has toned a little on the borders and some corner wear is seen, with the rich, red background showing just a hint of wear in one small spot. Some foxing, with a little bit of residue perhaps mixed in here and there, brings the baseball lesson home.
