A young woman is shown seated with a baseball glove on her left hand in this somewhat poignant image.  The uniform may say Springville, which is located near Salt Lake City, Utah. The top left corner of this 6 1/4" x 9 1/2" photo has folded over and some silvering and staining can be seen running along the bottom but it's still a well-contrasted image and quite nicely composed. The photographer appears to have been named Spedding and the date looks like 1918. The stunning photo looks to have been mounted twice, with remnants of each event showing on the reverse.
