Enormous large format original photo of Chicago White Sox future Hall of Famer, Eddie Collins. Shot in or around 1915, this substantial 10" x 13" photo depicts the perennial base stealing threat, Collins taking hacks at the Polo Grounds as a teammate observes. Photo displays an impressively sharp central image with wonderful tonal contrast and detailing. Edges of photo appear to be unevenly trimmed, most noticeably on the left side. Verso remains blank save for a handwritten notation identifying Collins, his team affiliation, and the year.
