On May 25, 1923, the Boston Braves scored a 7-4 victory over the Brooklyn Robins at Ebbets Field. Featured here is a “Ebbets Field Official Score Card” from the game, which was played before 4,000 spectators. Larry Benton took the win for the Braves, while Dutch Ruether absorbed the loss. Measuring approximately 6" x 9", the scorecard shows an artist’s rendering of Ebbets Field sharing equal space on the cover with a local advertiser (Reid’s Ice Cream). Inside you'll find the facing lineups of both the Braves and Robins with each scorecard filled out with all the action that took place over nine innings. Surrounding the game’s details are vintage advertisements from the period including Bayuk Cigars and the Schumm & Snyder Hat Shop. Overall condition is good with two staples still holding the Saddle Stitched booklet together. Original price: five cents.
